Paving and milling have different production requirements. Identify the surfaces, stages and limits needed, the existing information available and the design elevations or profiles to be followed.
Send current CAD, PDF drawings, specifications, available existing-condition surfaces and written clarifications. Identify the coordinate/elevation reference and who resolves design questions.
Tell us the paver or milling machine, guidance system, controller and software version. Required files, review steps and acceptance criteria belong in the quote.
Discuss setup, calibration and operator support with the model scope. The required installed tolerance must be evaluated against the control, equipment and site conditions; the model alone cannot establish it.
Know the Deliverable
Deliverables, assumptions, source revisions, compatibility, review responsibilities and turnaround are agreed in writing. Engineering design and approval remain with the customer’s responsible design team.
