Provide make/model, receiver and controller, software version, error messages, affected tasks and any recent changes. A concise description helps distinguish setup, source-file, communication and field-control issues.
Identify the coordinate system, elevation reference, existing localization and who owns the project survey control. Coordinate with the project’s responsible survey/design team when reference information is inconsistent.
Some questions can be addressed by a scheduled phone or virtual session; others require field access and equipment time. Rates, travel, availability and expected outputs are agreed before the engagement.
Operator and field-user coaching can be included with implementation. Practice the workflow, checks and escalation steps relevant to the machine and the crew’s assignment.
Know the Deliverable
Deliverables, assumptions, source revisions, compatibility, review responsibilities and turnaround are agreed in writing. Engineering design and approval remain with the customer’s responsible design team.
